Supercast is a place where creators and listeners contribute, support and build connection together. We believe that strong communities are built on a foundation of honest dialogue, where people can express freely, exchange ideas and gain new perspectives. At the same time, we recognize that there needs to be ground rules and this Code of Conduct strives to ensure we all have the same expectations for what is acceptable activity and content on Supercast.
No Illegal Activity: Do not use the Supercast Platform for any illegal activity, or any kind of conduct that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation (including, without limitation, any laws regarding the export of data or software to and from the US or other countries).
No infringement of IP: Do not publish any content that was written or created by someone else, unless you have their specific written consent, or your use is protected by fair use. You are responsible for the content you publish on Supercast, and liable for any harm caused by the content you publish.
No Hate: Supercast cannot be used to publish content or fund initiatives that call for violence, exclusion, or segregation based on protected classes. Offending behavior includes attacks on people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability or medical condition.
No Fraud: Do not use Supercast to deceive other people in any way.
No Bad Code: Do not use the Supercast to transmit, distribute, send, or otherwise expose the Platform or its Users to viruses, worms, or any other code that may be deemed dangerous, harmful, or destructive in any manner.
No Spam: No one likes spam. You may not use the Supercast to engage in any activities that will result in sending spam or unwelcome approaches to anyone, including Supercast (and its employees), Creators, and Subscribers.
Be Civil: The internet enables niche content of all types, whether we like that content or not. The one thing we can all agree on is that when we use Supercast we are going to be civil and respectful at all times.
No Exploitation: You will not use Supercast to try to gather personal information on anyone outside of the limited permissible uses for offering or accessing Content.
No Impersonation: You will not impersonate anyone other than yourself on Supercast. Professional political satirists and humorists may be exempt from this requirement.
No Data Mining or Bots: You may not use any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering or extraction methods on Supercast.
No Use Other Than Intended: You may not use Supercast or any Content contained on Supercast for any purposes other than intended.
No Prohibited Content: You may not use Supercast if you content contains material that is libelous, slanderous, pornographic, obscene, unlawful, threatening, hateful, violent, predatory, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable, all of which shall be determined in our sole discretion.
Any payments facilitated through Supercast are processed through Stripe, which excludes certain types of businesses from using their service. Please refer to the Stripe Service Agreement (see the US agreement here) and Stripe’s restricted businesses for more information about restricted business categories and practices.
If you or your content breach this Code of Conduct, we may endeavor to contact you and work with you to determine a path forward on Supercast. We have the exclusive right to interpret and enforce these guidelines, and, while it is our least preferred outcome, this may include removing you and your content from Supercast, with or without notice.
