President Biden announced a partnership with Bubs Australia, a baby food company, to ship infant formula to the United States to help ease the current shortage. The announcement came as the president met at the White House with administration officials, including Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, and formula manufacturers. They discussed steps the administration and companies are taking to deal with the shortage. After the event, President Biden answered a few questions from the press on this topic, gas prices, and gun legislation. The president said he only knew about the severity of the shortage in early April. close
